GRAD UPDATE - MAY 12, 2020
Banquet fees: All banquet fees will be refunded ($90).
Ceremony fees: The virtual ceremony will cost each grad $40. Students will be refunded $45. This refund will be processed closer to the ceremony date.
Unfortunately, because of COVID-19, we have to move away from our traditional convocation ceremony. However, the school has worked closely with Grad Council to come up with an alternative vision that will honour the success and efforts of each graduate.
We are producing a video ceremony to be viewed at home. It will be live streamed at 6:00 pm, June 25th, the original date our graduation. It will include many of traditions such as speeches from dignitaries, school administration, and a valedictory address. We will also air the video slide show of all our grads with personalized photos. As these photos are displayed, each grad will hear their grad intro statement read out, as well as find out if they are a recipient of any bursaries or scholarships from the Central Okanagan Bursary and Scholarship Society (COBSS).
Grad Gowns Please pick up your grad gown at the school from 9-11am or 1-3pm Monday through Friday.
- For the virtual ceremony, we are asking that each student sends in 1-4 pictures they would like displayed for themselves. We do ask that these photos remain appropriate, as this is still a public ceremony, but that the photos represent whom you are. Here are some photo examples:
- Your Cap & Gown (Either at the stage crossing or separate)
- Your Formal/ Grad Walk Wear
- You as a Baby/Youth
- Athletic photos
- Fine Arts photos (ie. You with your instrument)
- You in the school play or at a school event
- You at Winter Formal
- You and your friends or family
- Other appropriate photos
Photos must be submitted by May 27th at 10:00 am. No late submissions will be accepted. Students must submit photos with their name in the subject line.
Submit photos to either: firstname.lastname@example.org
