The Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is involved in the school and enjoys good participation by a large number of parents. Much of the success of the council can be attributed to its unique structure.
The PAC has an executive umbrella which is in charge of its general operations. This includes establishing policy and protocol for the dispersal of funds to school groups, responding to the school board on relevant issues, and participating of COPAC (the district parent advisory council) and BCCPAC (the provincial advisory council.) General PAC meetings are held on designated Monday evenings each month. All parents/guardians of MBSS student are always welcome.
The PAC executive will be elected in September. If you are unable to attend meetings but still wish to participate at the school, volunteers are always needed and greatly appreciated.
Parents can email MBS.PacPresident@sd23.bc.ca to request to be added to the monthly distribution list to receive PAC minutes and relevant information.
